End of Week One

I can't believe we have already been here for almost an entire week, the time goes by so fast. I'm finally learning how to get around this city without a map, and if I can do that - anyone can.

It's almost hard to remember all of the activities we've done in this short time, but here are a few:

After having an interesting class of Flamenco, we later went to a castle on the beach to watch the sunset and see a Flamenco show - which turned out to be something else all together. Our group (called the elephantes, the other group is the patos which means ducks)  also went to volunteer and play with the children at a daycare here. It was a bit difficult to understand the kids, but they were the very cute and a few of us fed them at lunch time.

A Traditional Spanish Breakfast - Carbs and Sugar, but delicious!

Concert at the Cathedral

Class is fun because for most of it we are outside and applying our lesson by speaking with locals and exploring the city. Today, in class we went to the central market in Cadiz and couldn't resist trying the cherries, or picots. I decided to post the fruit & vegetable pictures because the skinned rabbits weren't exactly as appealing.
